Industrial Research Group for Structural Optimization

|

The industrial research group for structural optimization (AKSO) has been founded in 1998 by FE-DESIGN GmbH, the German Federal Ministry of Education, Sciences, Research and Technology as well as by the project executing organisation for production and manufacturing technologies.

Initial situation:

The application of modern simulation technologies has been emerged as an essential part of construction processes. However the integration of existing FEM- and structural optimization technologies in the product development chain as not been solved satisfactorily [for the user]. An improvement of this situation holds a high possible savings of special know-how, time and expenses.

Aims and Scope:

The main objective of the industrial research is the exchange of ideas, methods and tools for structural optimization in line with integrated construction processes as well as giving incitements for further developments. The conception of collective research projects is also conceivable.

For detailed information please see the AKSO website (in German).
