Industrial Working Group "Structural Optimization"

Together with the Federal Ministry for Education, Science, Research and Technology (BMBF) and the Project Management Agency for manufacturing technologies and quality management (PFT) FE-DESIGN initiated an industrial working group working on the field of "structural optimization". You can find detailed information at the web of the working group.

Subject

The usage of modern simulation techniques in the design process is essential today. The integration of FEM- and structural optimization technologies into the product development process isn't as perfect as demanded by the users yet. Further integration would contribute to reduce the requirement of special know-how, time and costs.
 
Target

The target is exchanging ideas, methods and tools of structural optimization in the integrated design process and giving suggestions for development. Joint research projects are imaginable, too.
